Kurds living in Syria have said that Syria has agreed to send its troops to prevent a Turkish attack in northern Syria. Earlier, Syrian government media said government troops were being deployed to the north. The news comes amid the “turmoil” created here following America’s decision to withdraw its troops. Last week, Turkey launched an attack to oust the Kurds from the border area. This area in and around northern Syria is under the control of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces. Here the Kurdish fighters were the main ally of America.
